This drawing was made during a day trip to the compact city of Haarlem from nearby Amsterdam in March 2013. We approached St Bavo’s along Damstraat from where the church suddenly rears up to soar above the city that surrounds it. The diagonal approach is particularly effective .
The image is c.170x120mm and is produced with the highest-quality archival inks on a textured archival fine art paper to convey all the qualities of the original drawing.
