This drawing was made for a Diploma design project set it Monpazier in the Dorgogne. The town is one of the most complete bastides in the area, miniature cities dotted about the medieval landscape as statements of influence by the French and English monarchies.
My design work proposed rehabilitating the existing Place de l’Église by extending it to the east into unused land and lining it with new buildings. This drawing shows the elevation of a new building at the bottom of the gently sloping square with an open colonnade at ground level. A tower above compliments the tower of Saint Dominique at the top end of the square.
The image is c.75x105mm and is produced with the highest-quality archival inks on a textured archival fine art paper to convey all the qualities of the original drawing. The print run is limited to 150 and each print is available unmounted or set in a 12×10″ acid-free mount, a standard size for you to frame as you choose.read more about my papers, mounts and prints here
