There is something exquisite about an urban garden, a tempting but hidden world only hinted at by what is visible from beyond its protective walls. This urban garden in Villefranche-du-Périgord is made all the more delightful by the drastic changes in ground level that sweep around its walls.
This pastel drawing dates from a Diploma-course trip to the Dordogne to explore the bastides of the area, miniature cities dotted about the medieval landscape as statements of influence by the French and English monarchies.
The image is c.120x125mm and is produced with the highest-quality archival inks on a textured archival fine art paper to convey all the qualities of the original drawing. The print run is limited to 150 and each print is available unmounted or set in a 12×10″ acid-free mount, a standard size for you to frame as you choose.read more about my papers, mounts and prints here
